Last Updated: November 10, 2024
ADHD Website Blocker ("the Extension", "we", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our Chrome browser extension.
We do NOT collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information or user data.
The Extension operates entirely locally on your device and does not communicate with any external servers.
All data created by the Extension is stored locally on your device using Chrome's built-in storage API. This includes:
Website blocking rules - URL patterns you choose to block
Timer settings - Duration and configuration of blocking timers
Rule preferences - Whether rules are enabled/disabled, pause states
Language preference - Your selected interface language (English or Ukrainian)
We do NOT store, access, or collect:
• Your browsing history
• Personal identification information
• Login credentials or passwords
• Credit card or payment information
• Email addresses or contact information
• IP addresses or device identifiers
• Cookies or tracking data
• Analytics or usage statistics
We do NOT transmit any data.
The Extension:
• Does NOT send data to external servers
• Does NOT communicate with third-party services
• Does NOT track your browsing behavior
• Does NOT use analytics or tracking tools
• Does NOT contain advertisements
All functionality operates entirely within your browser using only local resources.
The Extension requires certain Chrome permissions to function. Here's what each permission is used for:
storage
Used to save your blocking rules and preferences locally on your device. No data leaves your
computer.
alarms
Used to manage countdown timers for temporary website blocks. Operates entirely locally.
declarativeNetRequest
Used to block access to websites you've added to your blocking rules by redirecting navigation
requests. Does not access or read page content.
declarativeNetRequestFeedback
Used to monitor the status of blocking rules and ensure they're working correctly. No data is
collected or transmitted.
notifications
Used to display system notifications when blocking timers expire. No data is collected.
host_permissions (<all_urls>)
Required to match URL patterns for any website you choose to block. Does not grant access to page
content or data. Only used for URL pattern matching.

Since the Extension operates entirely locally and doesn't collect any information, there is no data to share with:
• Third parties
• Advertisers
• Analytics services
• Other users
• Anyone else
All data (blocking rules, settings) remains on your device until you:
• Manually delete rules through the Extension interface
• Uninstall the Extension
• Clear your browser's extension data
We have no access to your data and cannot retrieve it.
The Extension does not collect any information from anyone, including children under 13. Parents can safely allow children to use this Extension as it contains no data collection, advertising, or external communication.
We do NOT use any third-party services.
The Extension does not integrate with, communicate with, or transmit data to:
• Analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics)
• Advertising networks
• Social media platforms
• Cloud storage services
• Any external APIs or servers
Since the Extension operates entirely locally and doesn't collect or transmit data, there are no external security risks related to data breaches or unauthorized access. Your blocking rules and settings are as secure as your device and browser.
You can export your blocking rules at any time using the built-in "Export Rules" feature in the Extension's Options page. This creates a local JSON file on your device.
You can delete your data by:
1. Removing individual rules through the Extension interface
2. Using the "Clear All Data" button in the Options page
3. Uninstalling the Extension
Once deleted, data cannot be recovered as we have no backups or copies.
Since we don't collect any personal data, regulations like GDPR, CCPA, and similar privacy laws do not apply to the use of this Extension. However, you always have complete control over:
• What websites you choose to block
• Your blocking rules and settings
• Your language preference
• When to delete your data
• Whether to continue using the Extension
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
Since the Extension doesn't collect data, privacy policy changes will primarily relate to:
• Clarifications of existing practices
• Updates to Chrome Web Store requirements
